On another epic
road trip across America, Jack Reacher intends to follow the autumn sun, from
Maine to California. But, when he sees a sign for a place he has never been, on
a country road deep in the New England woods, the town where his father was
born, Reacher decides to take a detour.
At the city
clerk's office, Reacher asks about the old family home. He’s told no one named
Reacher ever lived in the town. He knows his father never went back. Now he
wonders, was he ever there in the first place?
And so begins
